A propos beczek, to dzisiaj z innej beczki o Halloween, ale obiecuję że o dyni wspomnę. Bo ona jest dzisiaj gwiazdą wpisu. Historia Halloweenowych latarni wywodzi się z Irlandii. Tiaaaa… nie z hhhh…Ameryki. W Europie onegdaj nie znano ziemniaków i dyni, aż do odkrycia wspomnianej i na piedestały wyniesionej Ameryki. To właśnie w Europie zmienili rzepę na dynię (pumpkin lantern), która była większa i łatwiej było w niej rzeźbić te wszystkie śliczne uśmiechy.
Ale nie w tym rzecz. Skąd zatem zwyczaj wycinania i tworzenia Jack O’ lantern?
